Since graduating with a Visual Arts Degree from Edith Cowan University, Robyn Lees has been working as an artist and has developed an extensive solo and group exhibition profile.
Her work is represented in eminent collections and publications. She has worked as a ceramic lecturer, art teacher, and workshop presenter, and lives in Denmark, Western Australia.
Clay is my major medium, I’m at my most artistically fulfilled when I am manipulating this material. I like to combine it with wood and found materials.
I’m obsessed with testing new and old surface treatments like
Raku and pit firing. Again like the Eco printing one loses control of the material and consequently the self, it is both frightening and exciting.
