Born in WA, Racquel studied and worked in performance art, before developing a visual art practice that allowed a more direct documentation of response. Having exhibited widely locally and internationally, and working across continents, cultures and genres Racquel now resides and works in the South Coast of WA,
‘I paint my immediate surroundings, a documentation of place, my interest being in developing a visual language that embodies the essence of a place, that reveals the universal in the familiar.’
